Stratheden Vintage is a blend of malts opening to pastery and salted butter notes, and then iodine and spices. Founded in 1829 by Alexander Bonthrone in the Lowlands region, near Auchtermuchty, Fife, Stratheden distillery closed its doors in 1926 due to US prohibition. The Lost Distillery Company is dedicated to create present day expressions of legendary whiskies that belonged to the craft of whisky distilling almost a century ago. The classic range is made of blended malts bottled at 46 % abv unchillfiltered and without coloring, in the other hand the vintage collection is composed of blended malts over 25 year-old and bottled at 46 %.
