“The 2015 Goulée is a blend of 77% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Cabernet Franc, cropped at 52 hectoliters per hectare and matured in 30% new oak. There is a noticeable marine influence that tinctures the black fruit here, pleasant lift from the glass, if missing the complexity of other vintages that I have tasted at this early juncture. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, moderate depth, just a touch of powdered dark chocolate sprinkled over the black fruit. It just feels a little simplistic on the finish and I suspect that it will be an early-drinking 2015.” The Wine Advocate, Apr 2016
